John and Cathy of  "Picture Daddy Photography"  have been married over 36 years and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. John, aka The Picture- Daddy has been a practicing photographer for close to 4 decades. Cathy (the Picture Momma) is an artist who studied painting in oils and owned a ceramics studio for almost 2 decades. Together they make a unique team.

Just where did the name “Picture- Daddy” come from? In the early 1990’s John was shooting some local live bands. A few of the musicians were friends and schoolmates of John and Cathy’s grown children and started calling them “Dawn's or Stephanie’s Dad or Donovan’s Mom”. Soon one young man, a front man in one of the bands who didn’t know their children yelled across the club “Hey Picture-Daddy” ! The handle stuck and soon numerous members from many of the local bands were calling them Picture-Momma and Picture-Daddy. So as they say, the rest is history.

In addition to live performance photography, John and Cathy shoot location and studio child and/or  pet portraits. Band promotional shoots, wildlife, and event photography are part of our repertoire as well. As long as we enjoy what we do, we will keep on keep’in on.
